How to Use The Bible Studies

General Instructions

(1) Meet at home or in a classroom in the church’s building. Take time to greet each other and to welcome any new participants. Share coffee and dessert (a comfortable and friendly environment is best).

(2) Consider singing one or two songs to praise the Lord.

(3) Have a volunteer pray for God to work through the message to (i) touch our hearts, (ii) change our minds, and (iii) transform our lives.

(4) Read as a group the Bible passage on which the Bible study is based.

(5) Read the Bible study as a group.

(6) Follow the instructions below under Discussion / Reflection.

(7) Follow the instructions below under Prayer Time.

Note. If you are by yourself and not with a group, have some coffee, get comfortable, and readou through the biblical passage and the Bible study. After the message, you can share your answers to the questions on the comments section at the end of this post or in this private group on Facebook.

Discussion / Reflection

Part 1. Meet as a group in a home or in the church building. Take time to greet each other and to welcome any new participants. You can share coffee and dessert during the discussion. A comfortable and friendly environment is best.

If you are by yourself and not with a group, have some coffee, get comfortable, and read the devotional. Afterwards, you can share your answers on the comments section at the end of this post (also, consider joining this public Facebook group to share your answers there and meet new people there).

Part 2. Invite the participants to respond to the questions below.

  • What is the main idea of the biblical passage being discussed?
  • Are there any other ideas present in the passage?
  • What details in the passage do you find interesting or relevant?
  • What comments by the commentator caught your attention?

Part 3. Invite the participants to respond to the questions below.

  • In what way are the ideas (concepts) discussed in this study relevant to you and to others?
  • Do you feel or believe that God wants to use any of these ideas in your own life (or, in someone else’s life)?
  • How can you apply these principles to your own life?

Part 4. Take turns to pray for God to grant you grace to obey his word and to be blessed as you obey it.

Prayer Time

Part A. Have a voluteer pray to ask God for Him to be honored and glorified during this time of prayer.

If you are by yourself and not with a group, sing one or two songs to the Lord, and then pray to the Lord as you read these questions and respond to them (in other words, use these questions as a guide to “talk” to the Lord)

Part B. Invite the participants to respond to the questions below. After a participant shares, the rest can respond to the participant or pray for him/her as the Holy Spirit leads them to do.

  • What are you enjoying in life?
  • How has God blessed you?
  • How has God answered your prayers?
  • What do you believe God wants to do in you?
  • What do you believe God wants to do through you? 
  • Take time to pray and thank God for each other.

Part C. Invite the participants to respond to the questions below. After a participant shares, the rest can respond to the participant or pray for him/her as the Holy Spirit leads them to do.

  • What struggles, challenges, or difficulties are you facing in your life?
  • What do you think God wants to accomplish in your life through these trials?
  • What do you need from God during these trials?
  • How can your brothers and sisters in Christ help you? 
  • Take time to pray and make intercession for each other.

Part D Invite the participants to respond to the questions below. After a participant shares, the rest can respond to the participant or pray for him/her as the Holy Spirit leads them to do.

  • What words of praise, thanksgiving, or testimony do you have?
  • What prayer requests do you have?
  • Take time to thank God and to pray for the prayers requests mentioned
